Does the app work offline?
Yes. Taking measurements and generating PDF reports function entirely offline.
What is the difference between a movable probe and a flat probe?
A flat probe requires flush, perpendicular contact with the surface – it loses contact on edges and returns an error or incorrect reading. A movable spherical probe automatically adjusts to the contact angle, allowing precise measurements on edges, pillars, sills, and curved surfaces.
What is the difference between Advanced and Professional?
The Professional model features a spherical probe that enables accurate measurements on curved bodywork. Additionally, the Professional includes API access, a wider measurement range, and expanded memory capacity.
Does Advanced measure on plastic bumpers?
The gauge supports Fe (steel), Fe+Zn (galvanized steel), and Al (aluminum) substrates. Plastic bumpers do not have a metal substrate, so measuring paint thickness on plastic is not possible.
